Now TransMagic™ will Calculate Part Volumes to help companies prepare job quotes for injection-molded parts. If you know your material properties you can calculate material cost for quotes. Just select a part & click Geometry > Check Volume to display the part volume.

Bounding Box

If you need to know the Bounding Box size of a part, a single click will display the bounding box and its dimensions for the selected part.

Scale Part

To change the size of a part just click the Scale Part button, enter a scale factor, and the part will be resized accordingly. The Scale Part and Bounding Box tools provide useful information for determining mold size requirements. Both uniform and non-uniform scaling is availble

Measurement

A single button click turns on the measurement tool. Click anywhere on the part or the bounding box and drag the mouse to measure between two points.

Units of Measure

Select the desired units of measurement in English or Metric. TransMagic will read existing file units and convert them automatically to the user's selected units.

Moments of Inertia

From within the Mass Properties dialog, moments of inertia are displayed. This information can be copied to your windows clipboard for use in other applications.

Center of Mass

Three construction planes are used to display, the center of mass. This information can be exported to downstream CAE or CAM software systems.
